Kite Surfing
Sauble Beach has long been a tourist destination but in the last few years has become a Mecca for kite boarders for one simple reason. Sauble Beach is the windiest place in Ontario from early May to late October. In the spring and fall there are cold fronts from the NW. In the summer light afternoon thermal winds from the SW are common requiring big kites for light wind riding. The occasional summer thunderstorm from the west produces some amazing swell for wave riding, especially at the mouth of the Sauble river.

Bruce's Caves Conservation Area
Bruce's Caves Conservation Area derives its greatest significance from the unique cave formations found along the escarpment face. These caves were formed by the wave action of post-glacial Lake Algonquin, 7,000 to 8,000 years ago. Bruce's Caves Conservation area consists of: 7 hectares of Niagara Escarpment and rock talus, upland hardwoods, wooded swamp, caves and access to the Bruce Trail.
